Nick Thurston Appointed to Westshore Market Director

TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 15, 2022 – The Bank of Tampa today announced that Nick Thurston has been appointed to senior vice president, market director at The Bank of Tampa’s Westshore office, which is located at 4600 W. Cypress Street in Tampa. Prior to his promotion to Westshore market director, Thurston serves as market director at The Bank of Tampa’s Plant City office.
“Since Nick joined us in 2018, he has been steadfast in growing our book of business in the Plant City market,” said Scott Gault, Hillsborough County market president at The Bank of Tampa. “His dedication to the bank and our style of banking made him the perfect candidate for this promotion. We are thrilled to continue to watch him grow within our expansive Tampa market.”
Thurston offers more than 23 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining The Bank of Tampa, he served as regional president for Eastern Hillsborough and Pasco counties at Sunshine Bank (CenterState).
Thurston is involved in community organizations throughout Hillsborough County. He serves on the executive committee for the Plant City Economic Development Corporation and as the Vice Chair for Government Affairs for the greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, he is a board member for the South Florida Baptist Foundation Investment Committee, as well as the program chair for the Plant City Noon Rotary. Thurston holds a Bachelor of Science in business management from Northwood University. Additionally, he is a recent graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
