Lisa Carlton Appointed to The Bank of Tampa’s Sarasota and Manatee County Advisory Board

TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 11, 2023 – The Bank of Tampa today announced the appointment of Lisa Carlton to its Sarasota and Manatee County Advisory Board.

Carlton is co-owner and manager of the Mabry Carlton Ranch in Sarasota County. She served Southwest Florida for 14 years as a member of the Florida Legislature, serving in the House of Representatives from 1994-1998 and then as a member of the Florida Senate where she served as the Appropriations Chair under three Senate Presidents and was the President Pro Tempore during the 2006-2008 term.
After leaving the Florida Legislature due to term limits, Carlton continued to serve her community and state on nonprofit organization boards and in various civic and community roles. She serves on the advisory board for the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus and was a founding member of the Florida Historic Capitol Foundation, where she continues to serve as a board member. Additionally, Carlton serves as a board member of Tiger Bay, and was the first female to serve as a state director for the Florida Cattlemen Association, representing Sarasota County cattlemen. Carlton is a frequent guest speaker and moderator on a diverse array of topics related to Florida business, politics, history and land conservation.
